Hi, I would like to take the time to introduce myself and tell you about
the experience you will feel at Shelly Rose Photography. My Name is Shelly
and I am a 1987 graduate from Hallmark Institute of Photography. I opened
my first studio in downtown Augusta in 1990 and my second studio is located
in Scarboro and only minutes from the ocean on the coast of Maine. I have
successfully photographed seniors and clients from all over Maine, with over
45 high schools to date. I specialize in intimate portraiture, black & white,
boudoir, mother and infant, families, children, weddings, and along with business
and modeling portfolios. What I have to offer is a fun experience where you
will be comfortable and relaxed.
I offer design consultation where we will discuss clothing, backgrounds,
locations, and theme as your personal portrait will reflect your lifestyle.
We offer makeovers for our clients, ladies we like the natural look and we
will pamper you. For the guys a bronzing to smooth the skin and give you the
confidence for a relaxed photo session. Black & white is very popular with
it's timeless and modern contemporary style. I have indoor and outdoor studio
gardens. The indoor studio offers many modern, classic and upbeat backdrops,
props and the ever popular "white high key window set". The outdoor studio
garden offers a pond, bridge, dock, shed, swing, hammock, flowers, fences,
and so much more.
Being a member of the New England Professional Photography Association keeps me up to date with the newest props, state of the art equipment and creativity.
My ongoing education and passion for photographing people is reflected in my work. Clients ask me, "What is my favorite subject to photograph?", I tell them
that everyone is beautiful inside and I am very satisfied when I can have the opportunity to bring that inner beauty out and see my clients have tears of happiness.
That is what I love and my passion is to make people happy.
